REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY
1. INTRODUCTION
This policy outlines the general guidelines for refunds and cancellations. The specific refund and cancellation terms for any engagement may differ depending on the official quotation, proposal, statement of work, or signed agreement. In the event of a conflict, the signed agreement or accepted quotation shall prevail.
2. TRAINING CANCELLATION
- Cancellation before confirmed date: Must be made in writing within the timeframe specified in the quotation.
- Postponement: Requests to postpone training must be communicated early. Administrative fees or logistics penalties may apply depending on the notice period.
- Replacement participant: Generally allowed, provided notice is given before the training commences.
- No-show handling: Participants who fail to attend confirmed training sessions without prior notice are generally not eligible for a refund.
3. CONSULTANCY CANCELLATION
Consulting work often involves significant preparation, assessment, architecture design, and technical scoping. Refunds for cancelled consulting engagements depend entirely on the amount of work already performed and the terms specified in the agreement.
4. SOFTWARE PROJECT CANCELLATION
Software development project cancellations are subject to milestone completion, deliverables submitted, deposits paid, and the specific termination clauses within the signed agreement.
5. NON-REFUNDABLE ITEMS
The following items are generally strictly non-refundable:
- Completed advisory or consulting work
- Customized courseware or training materials already produced
- Cloud, infrastructure, or lab setup costs already incurred
- Third-party software subscriptions or licenses procured on behalf of the client
- Travel or logistics costs already expended
6. RESCHEDULING
Cognitoz will make reasonable efforts to accommodate rescheduling requests, subject to instructor or consultant availability and mutual agreement.
